Cornelius Bogert Grave Marker |
Cornelius Bogert, a Revolutionary War veteran, is buried in a private cemetery owned by the Demarest Family and is opened only once a year to the public around Memorial Day. It is located behind Bank of America on River Road in New Milford, which is next to the New Milford Borough Hall. The grave markers of the veterans in the cemetery are not the original markers, but were replaced by the group “Daughters of the American Revolution” in 1955. |
